| While our dedicated crew are serving the poor on-board our ground teams are running dental and eye clinics as well as training local doctors in orthopedics. You will be able to visit our "hospitality centre" where our patients recover after being released from our on-board ward. Our crew provide clean water through well drilling and construction projects such as the agriculture training center. |

| Each year thousand of west africans receive free life changing operations on the Africa Mercy which has it's own CT scanner, on-board blood lab and a 78 bed recovery ward. |

| During each field service Mercy Ships doctors train local doctors and healthcare professionals on board and in local hospitals. Occupational courses are given such as our organic agriculture programme and ship crew from over 40 nations receive continued training like our emergency medical and CPR classes. |
